How to Prepare Your Home for Your Upcoming Roofing Installation

Prior to your installation day, please prepare your home by doing the following:

  • Our installation partners will need access to a power source. If you do not have any outside power outlets, please leave a porch light on and our partners can use an adapter to draw power.
  • We recommend removing any items on the interior walls of your home that may fall due to the vibrations from the installation.
  • We recommend moving any items outside of your home that could be damaged by falling debris from the installation. Items like patio furniture, barbeque grills and anything close to the home should be moved away to prevent any damage.
  • If you have an attic that you use for storage we recommend covering or removing any items of value or importance as dust and debris will fall during the installation.


Here are a few key things to know about your installation
:

  • You will receive a confirmation call or text the day before we begin. Installation will begin the very next day, so please check your messages.
  • Our Project Coordinator will contact you the morning of your appointment to explain what you can expect to take place that day and answer any questions you may have about the installation.
  • Materials for your project can be delivered anytime between now and the day your installation begins. Unfortunately, we do not have schedules for when our suppliers will deliver the material.  If possible, your materials will be placed on the roof. However, if our supplier is unable to place the materials on the roof, they will be placed in the driveway or yard as out of the way as possible.
  • Prior to the start of your installation a dumpster will be delivered for project debris.
    • Dumpsters usually arrive the morning of your project start date. Please make sure that you move all cars from the driveway, as well as the garage, the night before to avoid being blocked in by the dumpster.
    • If you would prefer to have the dumpster placed in a location other than the driveway, but still close to the house, please let us know before your installation date. The dumpster will be removed from your property after your installation and final cleanup has been completed.
  • If there is a functioning satellite dish on your house, we will attempt to reinstall to the best of our ability. You may still need to have your satellite provider realign the dish after we are done.
  • If you have gutter protection attached to the shingled section of your current roof, we recommend you have your gutter installer remove the materials before your roof installation as it could get damaged during installation if not removed. If they are not removed prior to installation, please let your installer know where you would like the materials placed on the property.  Due to liability and warrantee issues, we cannot reinstall any gutter protection after your new roof is installed.
  • ALL INSTALLATIONS ARE WEATHER DEPENDENT!
    Wind, rain, snow, or severe temperature can all create safety issues for your home and our crews, so we may need to postpone your installation if any of these occurs. Since weather is unpredictable, we make decisions to postpone on the morning of installation. We will call you as soon as we know your installation is going to be postponed. We appreciate your patience and understanding should we need to reschedule.
