How to Prepare Your Home for Your Upcoming Bath Remodel
Prior to your installation day, please prepare your home by doing the following:
- Remove all items from the shower or tub area.
- All other surfaces within the bathroom should also be cleared as the area will get very dusty during installation.
- Clear a path to the bathroom wide enough to bring in new parts – approximately 3-4 feet wide.
- Make sure you know where the access panel to shut off your water is located — our crew will need to shut off water to the tub during installation.
- If you have a basement, our crew will need to access the drain for the tub.
- Make sure an area approximately 10’x10’ is available in your garage, driveway, or yard. Our installation crew will utilize that area as a workspace to prepare the materials before bringing them into your home.
- Our installation crew may need access to a power source outside of your home for their workspace. If you do not have any outside power outlets, please leave a porch light on and our partners can use an adapter to draw power.
Here are a few key things to know about your installation:
- The toilet and sink in the bathroom getting remodeled will remain functional during installation, but access will be limited.
- You will receive a confirmation call or text the day before we begin. Installation will begin the very next day, so please check your messages.
- Our Project Coordinator will contact you the morning of your appointment to explain what you can expect to take place that day and answer any questions you may have about the installation.
- ALL INSTALLATIONS ARE WEATHER DEPENDENT! Wind, rain, snow, or severe temperature can all create safety issues for your home and our crews, so we may need to postpone your installation if any of these occurs. Since weather is unpredictable, we make decisions to postpone on the morning of installation. We will call you as soon as we know your installation is going to be postponed. We appreciate your patience and understanding should we need to reschedule.
