The 2020 top remodelers can be found in two lists, each represented in one tab, showing who’s who among the replacement/specialty firms and full-service remodelers. Businesses are ranked based on the revenue they generated in 2019 from remodeling alone.
The information on the list comes from the firms themselves, based on the responses they gave in an online survey. Additional information came via phone calls, email, and public sources.
1-800 HANSONS is also a Big 50 member. What does that mean? The Big50 is REMODELING’s annual recognition of 50 great remodeling companies based on their long-term operational and financial success. This award has existed for more than 30 years. Companies on the list who are also Big 50 members have a “50” sign by their name.
Guild Quality Service Excellence Distinction
In the past years, Remodeling has partnered with GuildQuality, a customer satisfaction surveying company to power the Service Excellence Distinction. In order to participate, businesses submit all of their customers from the previous year to GuildQuality’s multi-touch independent survey process. GuildQuality then chose a random sample of customers to survey based on how big the company is. The companies that got the Service Excellence Distinction achieved at least 90% recommendation rate and a response rate of 50% to 70%, which depends on project volume.
